5.16.2004 - The Dillon County Sheriff's Office is investigating a murder that occurred at the Manor House in Minturn, SC. Two of the patients, Zandria Bryant and Carolyn McCall, got into an argument. During the argument Bryant was stabbed in the back and died as a result.

Carolyn McCall was booked at the Dillon County Detention Center and charged with murder. Lt. Johnnie Mae Smith and Lt. T.F. "Buzzy" Finklea, Jr. are investigating the incident.

 

5.18.2004 - The Dillon County Sheriff's Office is investigating a murder that occurred on Pleasant Hill Road in Dillon County. The suspect in the case, Bobby Nelson, called 911 and told them that he had shot the victim, Robert Boyd Slayton. Lt. Reggie Thompson arrived at the scene and discovered the victim slumped over in his wheelchair. He had been shot in the head.

Bobby Nelson was booked at the Dillon County Detention Center and charged with murder.
